Having moved to Sevenoaks I was compelled to get my bum into gear and seriously shape up. Having slowly lost weight over the last few years, I decided it was time to get back to it and make a difference. At the size and weight I was, it was unhealthy and not good for my body and With events to go to in June, I knew I needed to take action and having done some research, the Better Body Group looked the place for me.
I was immediately impressed that the place isn’t clogged with all cardio machines and the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and not intimidating; much different to the peer pressure of some of the commercial chain gyms. I love walking on the gym and everyone being so friendly constantly!
I signed up and began training with Becca. Early on I realised that to reap the benefits, as well as the exercise I was doing, I needed to look at what I was eating and quickly began to log and change my eating habits to match the efforts of what I was doing in the gym, and the results started to become visible.
Each session is challenging and over time I have had many love-hate relationships with certain exercises (planks in particular!) and completed exercises that I would never had dreamt of doing in January.
It had been amazing to see the change in strength, shape and capability and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help, support and guidance from Becca. I never dread my training sessions and look forward to each and every one, not knowing what will be thrown at me next. Becca has made me feel so comfortable and at ease, and together we have hit targets and developed programmes to suit. I love our little chats and when you enjoy the company and have a laugh, it certainly makes gruelling work outs that little bit easier! What I have appreciated the most is that the training that Becca has implemented provides long term results.
This was our first main goal to get to June and to feel great and I most certainly do. We have set new targets and goals, and I can’t wait to see where I am come Christmas time!
