Joe is one of our most senior and experienced Exercise Specialists. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his Undergraduate BSc and First class Masters degrees from Loughborough University. Joe has a mass of experience to draw from in his time as at the Better Body Group, recently reaching the impressive landmark of 10,000 hours of Personal Training since joining the team in 2011.
Joe has a real passion for sport and exercise, playing a range of sports growing up including football and rugby. It was during college when Joe was a 55kg little weed playing rugby that he first started going to the gym and he’s been a keen gym goer ever since. Joe first plied his trade as a Strength & Conditioning coach while playing for and coaching the Loughborough Students Rugby League 1st team. He then continued on after University as a Strength & Conditioning coach with Super League rugby club Bradford Bulls whilst also doing some free-lance Personal Training in Leeds.
Since joining the Better Body Group Joe has specialised in Nutrition and Young Athlete Development. He believes Nutrition really is the underpinning of a great result when it comes to weight loss and therefore felt it was vital to have a great knowledge base in that area to best support his clients.
When joining the Better Body Group he designed the very first Young Athlete Development program to continue his work with athletes. The three-tiered program was designed to help complete beginners go from simply learning movements and postures all the way through to mastering more advanced strength & power lifts in the safest possible way.
