Tilly is passionate about the factors that affect human performance and their involvement in sport. During her degree in Psychology at Malaga University in Spain she specialised in Social and Sports Psychology.
In her dissertation she studied the relationship between exercise and keeping a positive image of the self and has developed a strong knowledge of how exercising can improve lifestyle in all areas.
Tilly extended her understanding of psychological processes in sport through working with Malaga under 16s football team, Unicaja junior basketball team and became very interested in how hypnosis can influence and complement other treatments to gain the best results.
Tilly believes that wellbeing and self-esteem is affected by psychical health and with such busy lives, people struggle to find enough time to practice sport, leading them to develop an unhealthy lifestyle, in many cases causing eating problems, sleeping disorders, anxious and depressive symptoms amongst others.
Tilly is eager to show people that exercise can be fun and it doesn’t need to be time consuming. She runs 3-4 times a week and is now training hard for the 2017 London Marathon, she enjoys weightlifting and playing badminton (not very well!).
Whether it’s your first time in the gym or you already have some experience with the equipment, Tilly will be able to design and guide you through personalised exercise programs to help you achieve goals in a sensible timeframe without removing the things you enjoy most.
