My name is Ben Lock, and I graduated from St Mary’s University in 2023 with a first-class honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation (BSc). From an early age, I was eager to try new things, no matter how challenging. This adventurous spirit led to various injuries, which I learned to manage and overcome. These experiences sparked my curiosity about rehabilitation, helping me understand how injuries can significantly impact someone’s life. There’s no greater satisfaction for me than witnessing the progress and positive changes I can help facilitate in someone’s recovery, ultimately improving their overall quality of life.

Growing up, I was particularly drawn to water sports. Unlike team sports, I loved the freedom and challenge of being out on the water, with my main passion being sailing, which I started at age 10. At 16, I had an incredible opportunity to go to Canada for six weeks to further develop my skills. This experience led to winning races and placing 7th in the UK for my class. Afterward, I focused on gaining my coaching qualification, which I achieved successfully.

I also have experience in Mixed Martial Arts, but after two years, I had to give it up due to a rib injury and the COVID-19 pandemic. As I transitioned to university, I shifted my focus to personal fitness in the gym, which I continue to this day. Alongside my gym routine, I am now embarking on a new personal adventure of learning and improving my golf skills.
